On January 3rd 2011, we lost a dear member of the Mend family – Irene.
Irene spent four years at Mend making beautiful handbags that people around the world cherish. Over the past year, Irene’s children have been supported by her mother with the money Irene saved from working at Mend. However, the grandmother cultivates food far from Gulu town and the best schools, making it difficult for her and the children.
Thanks to supporters like you, Mend was able to support Irene’s children into boarding school this year. Watch as Mend takes Laker Irene’s children to school!
